Hawaiian Instruments Bracelet
This design shows off the amazing powerful Hawaiian instruments often heard in Hula performances. The following instruments are shown in this design, the Ukulele, hugely supported by King Kalakaua, a patron of the arts, incorporated the ukulele into performances at royal gatherings. Uli’uli, Feathered gourd rattles. Puili, Rhythm sticks made of split bamboo. Ipu, a percussion instrument made from gourds. Ili’ili, two stones, and Pahu, a drum carved of a single log and stretched with sharkskin. The inside of the bracelet features the entire Hawaiian Island chain.
